Team Liquid’s Quid confident ahead of matches against KC and DCG at MSI 2026

1 hour ago 2

Team Liquid’s mid laner Quid isn’t just feeling good about his team’s chances at the 2026 Mid-Season Invitational. He’s feeling like the hard part might already be behind them.

The Korean-born playmaker, whose real name is Lim Hyeon-seung, has gone on record saying that facing Karmine Corp and Da Kun Gaming in the MSI knockout stage will be easier than the opponents Team Liquid has already dispatched.

From LCS MVP to international contender

Quid joined Team Liquid on November 29, 2025, after earning LCS MVP honors during his time with 100 Thieves. His contract with Team Liquid runs through November 2027.

Team Liquid punched their ticket to MSI 2026 by sweeping Cloud9 in the LCS playoffs on June 14.

The knockout stage bracket and what it means

The MSI 2026 knockout stage features matchups scheduled for around June 28, including T1 versus Team Liquid and Karmine Corp versus Da Kun Gaming. That means Quid’s assertion that KC and DCG represent easier opposition than what TL has already handled carries an implicit message: the real test is T1.

Quid has publicly expressed confidence in his ability to compete against Faker, T1’s mid laner and the most decorated player in League of Legends history.

For fans of North American League of Legends, the matches around June 28 will determine whether Quid’s confidence was prescient or premature, and whether Team Liquid’s momentum can survive contact with the best teams on the planet.
