Sui has removed 3,023 impersonation and phishing threats across a range of online platforms. The takedowns come through its partnership with ChainPatrol, a security firm that hunts down fake accounts and scam sites. What Sui and ChainPatrol actually did The effort sits under Sui’s $10 million Ecosystem Security Expansion Initiative. As part of that program, Sui brought in ChainPatrol to protect more than 30 projects building on the network. Its monitoring covers the web, X, Discord and Telegram, as well as social media broadly, app stores and digital wallets. As of mid-November 2025, ChainPatrol had blocked 842 unique threats tied to Sui-related projects and carried out takedowns across more than 11 platforms. The latest tally of 3,023 threats is more than three times that mid-November figure. How the detection works ChainPatrol relies on AI and image recognition to spot fakes, flagging copycats that reuse a project’s branding even when the account name is slightly altered.
