Strategy repurchases $205 million of STRC stock, skips Bitcoin buying ahead of Fed rate call

Strategy paused its Bitcoin buying last week ahead of the Federal Reserve’s upcoming interest rate decision, leaving its holdings unchanged after weeks of consecutive purchases, according to a new SEC disclosure. Despite taking a break from its recent accumulation, the company continues to lead corporate Bitcoin holders with a stash of 848,517 BTC valued at about $68 billion. The company bought back more than 2 million shares of its variable-rate STRC preferred stock for about $205 million during the period. It did not repurchase shares of its STRF, STRK or STRD preferred stocks or its MSTR common stock. Strategy said approximately $957 million remained available for preferred stock repurchases and $1 billion for MSTR buybacks as of Oct. 25. The STRC repurchases were funded with USD Cash, which fell to $242 million as of Oct. 25.
