Samsung Group invests $1B in KKR-backed Helix Digital Infrastructure

Samsung Group is writing a $1 billion check to Helix Digital Infrastructure, the AI-focused data center company that KKR helped launch in June 2026. The investment splits evenly: Samsung Electronics is putting up $500 million, while five other Samsung affiliates, including Samsung C&T and Samsung SDS, are covering the rest. What Helix actually does Helix Digital Infrastructure debuted on June 11, 2026, with more than $10 billion in committed capital from a roster of investors that includes the Kuwait Investment Authority, NVIDIA, and energy company Vistra. The company builds integrated solutions for hyperscale data centers, tackling two bottlenecks: power and capacity. Running the show is Adam Selipsky, formerly the CEO of Amazon Web Services. Waldemar Szlezak, coming from KKR’s infrastructure team, serves as Chief Investment Officer.
