Nvidia, Anthropic, Palantir CEOs to meet Trump for AI risks lunch

Three of the most powerful people in artificial intelligence are sitting down with the president over lunch to talk about the thing keeping Washington up at night: what happens when AI gets too smart, too fast. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, and Palantir CEO Alex Karp are meeting with President Donald Trump at the White House to discuss AI risks, safeguards, and the perpetual tug-of-war between innovation and oversight. House Speaker Mike Johnson is also attending. They’re not the only tech heavyweights at the table, either. Mark Zuckerberg, Sundar Pichai, and Greg Brockman are part of the gathering as well. A private dinner before the main course Amodei apparently got a head start. The Anthropic CEO dined privately with Trump on September 27 to discuss AI regulations and the escalating US-China tech competition. Anthropic, the company behind the Claude AI model, has been one of the more vocal proponents of cautious AI development. Amodei has consistently argued that frontier AI systems require careful guardrails.
