RWA perpetual volume reaches $62B, nearing Bitcoin perps: Talos

Real-world asset perpetual futures just posted $61.7 billion in weekly trading volume, landing at 99.2% of Bitcoin perpetual futures volume across Hyperliquid and Binance. Tokenized stocks, commodities, and other traditional assets traded as crypto derivatives are now neck-and-neck with the original digital gold. The data, reported by institutional trading platform Talos for the week ending July 31, 2026, marks a significant inflection point in crypto’s convergence with traditional finance. What’s actually driving $62 billion in RWA perps Tokenized equities made up 57.8% of the total RWA perpetual volume, while commodities accounted for 28.2%. Hyperliquid has emerged as the dominant venue for this activity. During the week of July 13 to 19, RWA perps generated $25.1 billion on the platform alone, representing 52% of Hyperliquid’s total weekly volume of $48.2 billion. That was the first time RWA derivatives surpassed every other asset category on the exchange.
