Robinhood’s tokenized stock launch fuels 20% holder surge, Centrifuge says

Robinhood’s Stock Tokens feature, which launched on June 30, 2025, has attracted over 200,000 new tokenized asset holders in roughly one week. For context, tokenized equities have been a niche corner of crypto for years, with the entire market estimated at around $1B in the second half of 2025. What Robinhood actually built Stock Tokens give investors exposure to more than 200 tokenized equities and ETFs, essentially wrapping traditional US stocks in blockchain-native packaging. Each token is backed 1:1 by the underlying shares. The feature is available through the Robinhood Wallet in over 120 countries, though notably not in the US itself. The offering includes zero commissions, 24/5 trading access, and dividend support through what Robinhood calls “multiplier” mechanisms, through which token holders receive dividends automatically reinvested. The infrastructure underpinning all of this is the Robinhood Chain, a Layer 2 blockchain built on Arbitrum technology.
