Nebius Group signs $27B AI capacity deal with Meta Platforms

Nebius Group just locked in one of the largest AI infrastructure contracts on record. The Netherlands-based company signed a five-year deal with Meta Platforms worth up to approximately $27 billion, a figure that would make it one of the most significant commitments a non-hyperscaler has ever secured from a Big Tech partner. The deal includes $12 billion in dedicated GPU capacity and up to $15 billion in additional AI capacity purchases, contingent on that capacity remaining unsold to other customers. Inside the deal structure The $12 billion dedicated portion of the contract will deploy Nvidia’s Vera Rubin platform, the next-generation GPU architecture that’s becoming the backbone of frontier AI training workloads. Deployments are expected to begin in early 2027 across Nebius data center locations in Finland, the UK, and the US. The remaining $15 billion functions as a backstop mechanism. If Nebius can’t sell certain capacity to third-party customers, Meta steps in to absorb it. For Nebius, this essentially creates a revenue floor.
