NEAR Protocol intents surpass $30B in all-time volume as daily records fall

NEAR Protocol’s intent-based trading layer just crossed a threshold that would have seemed ambitious not long ago. NEAR Intents, the protocol’s cross-chain execution system, has surpassed $30 billion in cumulative all-time volume, reaching approximately $31.4 billion according to data tracked on Dune Analytics. The milestone arrived alongside some of the platform’s strongest single-day performance on record. On September 18, daily volume exceeded $300 million, contributing to a weekly tally that ranged between $842 million and $1.04 billion in the days surrounding the peak. What NEAR Intents actually does Instead of locking assets and minting wrapped tokens across networks, the system lets users declare what they want, say, swap Token A on Chain X for Token B on Chain Y, and a network of competing solvers figures out the most efficient path to fulfill that order.
