Lazio and Inter Milan are closing in on a deal that would see the 25-year-old Italian midfielder leave San Siro on a loan arrangement with a mandatory buy clause, valued at around €15 million in total. For a player Inter purchased for roughly €35 million just last year, that is a notable markdown. The structure of the move tells the story of how quickly fortunes can shift in Serie A.
