Interbank partners with Anthropic to deploy Claude AI across banking operations in Peru

Interbank, one of Peru’s largest banks and a subsidiary of the Intercorp conglomerate, has signed a direct enterprise agreement with Anthropic to integrate Claude AI into its banking operations. The deal makes Interbank the first Peruvian bank to establish this kind of direct relationship with Anthropic. Most institutions in the region access AI tools through intermediaries or cloud platform marketplaces. Interbank skipped the middleman. What the deal actually involves Under the agreement, Interbank gains access to Anthropic’s enterprise-grade Claude tools, configured to meet the compliance requirements specific to the financial industry. The initial deployment is deliberately narrow. Claude Enterprise has been rolled out to a select group of employees, primarily knowledge workers and technology teams, accompanied by structured training programs designed to build internal AI literacy before scaling up.
