Google Cloud just handed Deutsche Bank something the financial industry has been chasing for years: an AI system purpose-built for the messy, high-stakes world of credit risk assessment. The new platform, called Gemini Enterprise for Financial Services, launched on August 25 with Deutsche Bank serving as the initial design partner. The centerpiece is a Google-managed Financial Research agent loaded with over 50 specialized skills and plugged into essential financial data sources. Think of it as a junior analyst who never sleeps, never misreads a spreadsheet, and can process a bond portfolio risk analysis in under five minutes. What the platform actually does Gemini Enterprise for Financial Services automates several functions that traditionally eat up enormous amounts of banker hours: credit risk assessments, portfolio monitoring, market news synthesis, and investigative research across capital markets and corporate banking.
