Asset managers operating tokenized portfolios have long relied on off-chain agreements to define what they can and cannot do with investor capital. Centrifuge V3.3, announced on August 12, 2026, changes that calculus by embedding those rules directly into smart contracts, where they become as immovable as the code itself. The new feature, called the Onchain Execution Policy, publishes a defined set of permissible actions before deposits are accepted, then enforces those boundaries on every subsequent transaction. If a manager tries to move funds outside the predefined parameters, the contract simply won’t allow it. From handshake agreements to hardcoded rules Centrifuge describes this as a shift from passive documentation to active enforcement, and the distinction matters enormously for institutional investors who need auditable proof that portfolio constraints were honored in real time, not reconstructed after the fact.
