Binance expands tokenized stock offering with GameStop listing

GameStop, the meme-stock mascot of the 2021 retail trading frenzy, has found a new home on a crypto exchange. Binance added GameStop to its bStocks product on August 12, 2026, making the tokenized shares available as collateral for cross and portfolio margin trading on the platform. The exchange tried a similar tokenized stock product in 2021, only to shut it down within months after regulators in Germany, the UK, and Hong Kong flagged concerns about how the product was structured and whether users were receiving proper disclosures.
