Brahma AI, an enterprise platform building AI tools for audiovisual content, has closed a $150 million growth equity round that values the company at $2 billion on a post-money basis. Indian private equity firm Multiples Alternate Asset Management led the deal with a $100 million commitment, and additional investor interest could push the total raise to $200 million. Brahma AI was born from the infrastructure and talent pool of DNEG, the Oscar-winning visual effects house, and its parent company Prime Focus Limited. The money and where it’s going The $150 million injection will fund research and development, global sales expansion, and platform improvements across several verticals. Media, sports, healthcare, and advertising are all in the crosshairs. A bigger presence in Silicon Valley is also on the agenda. The deal reshapes the ownership structure at the top. Prime Focus Limited, which operates Brahma AI through DNEG, will retain roughly 66% economic ownership after the dilution. But Prime Focus’s voting rights are expected to drop to around 25%.
