Bluesky’s AI assistant Attie evolves into open social research tool, and users have feelings about it

Bluesky’s AI assistant Attie, which launched at the ATmosphere conference on March 28, has quietly leveled up. What started as a tool for generating custom social feeds through natural language prompts is now a full-blown research assistant, letting users query news, trends, and conversations across Bluesky and other apps built on the AT Protocol. The upgrade positions Attie as what Bluesky calls the first “agentic social app” on its open protocol.
