Zcash advocacy group registers its first lobbyist in Washington

Zcash now has its own registered voice in Washington. Pretty Good Policy for Zcash (PGPZ), a 501(c)(4) group built to advocate for the privacy-focused Bitcoin alternative, has registered its first lobbyist. Divij Pandya, the group’s executive director, was named in a filing submitted during the week of October 4, 2026. Who PGPZ is and what it wants PGPZ launched in summer 2026. It describes its work as policy education, coordination, and advocacy specific to the Zcash ecosystem. Pandya previously worked at FS Vector. At PGPZ, he will lead lobbying, policy analysis, and coalition-building on Capitol Hill. The group’s agenda covers a wide stretch of territory: Financial privacy, the issue most closely tied to Zcash’s identity Digital asset market structure, with the CLARITY Act a notable focus Developer protections Anti-money laundering (AML) rules Sanctions Tax policy Funding is still in progress.
