YouTube introduces conversational video editing tool for creators

YouTube just made video editing feel a lot more like texting a friend. The platform unveiled a new conversational editing assistant, powered by its Gemini AI model, that lets creators trim clips, reorder frames, and sync music simply by typing what they want in a chat interface. The tool, announced during YouTube’s annual Made on YouTube event on September 23, integrates directly into Shorts and the YouTube Create app. Instead of wrestling with timelines and keyframes, creators can now describe their edits in plain English and let the AI generate a first draft.
