XRP Ledger 3.2.0 targets June 15, what changes for XRPL?

1 hour ago 2

The XRP Ledger 3.2.0 server release could arrive on June 15, according to validator Vet.ย

Summary

  • XRP Ledger 3.2.0 targets June 15, replacing rippled branding with xrpld across core server infrastructure.
  • Node operators must prepare for software changes, while official release notes and benchmarks remain pending.
  • XRP trades near $1.15 after an intraday rebound, but weekly losses still limit recovery prospects.

The date remains a target rather than a confirmed launch schedule from XRPL Operations.

The update will rename the networkโ€™s core server software from rippled to xrpld. It follows version 3.1.3, which delivered fixes for NFTs, Permissioned Domains, Vaults, lending features and Multi-Purpose Tokens.

XRP Ledger 3.2.0 moves closer to release

โ€œXRP Ledger 3.2.0 is coming soon,โ€ XRPL Operations said on June 4. The team also warned that the naming transition will require infrastructure operators to update parts of their systems.

XRPL Operations has not publicly confirmed June 15 as the final release date. The projectโ€™s GitHub milestone remained 98% complete on June 8, with several items still open. This leaves room for the timetable to change before publication.

Core server changes from rippled to xrpld

The most visible change replaces the rippled name with xrpld. The new name links the server more directly to the XRP Ledger and removes branding that some users may connect only with Ripple.

Node operators may need to revise service files, scripts, monitoring tools and command-line checks. XRPL Operations said it is preparing a detailed playbook. Regular XRP holders do not need to take action because the work focuses on server infrastructure.

The change also gives exchanges, wallet providers and data services time to update references before older naming creates compatibility or support problems.

Performance claims await official release notes

Reports have linked version 3.2.0 to better performance and memory savings of up to 40%. However, XRPL Operations has not released the final technical notes or public benchmarks supporting that exact figure.

The public development milestone includes server fixes, refactoring and performance work. The final release notes should show which changes entered version 3.2.0 and whether operators can expect lower hardware costs or better network efficiency.

XRP price remains below recovery resistance

XRP traded near $1.15 on June 8, with a 24-hour range between $1.12 and $1.16. The token remained down almost 12% over seven days after the wider cryptocurrency market faced heavy selling.

A recent crypto.news analysis placed near-term support around $1.03 and stronger recovery resistance near $1.36. The XRPL upgrade may attract community attention, but a server release does not guarantee higher demand for XRP.

The update arrives as the XRP Ledger expands its tokenization and stablecoin activity. Ripple recently extended RLUSD access across more than 40 networks through Wormhole, including the XRPL EVM sidechain.

Version 3.2.0 will mainly test how smoothly validators and infrastructure providers complete the xrpld transition. Operators now await the migration guide, final release notes and formal confirmation of the June 15 schedule.
