XDOF in talks for Series B funding at $1.2B valuation just months after exiting stealth

XDOF, a San Mateo-based startup building data infrastructure for robotics and embodied AI, is reportedly in discussions to raise Series B funding at a $1B valuation. The company emerged from stealth mode on June 17, 2026. XDOF closed a $70M Series A just two to three months ago, backed by Thrive Capital, Spark Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Lux Capital, and WndrCo. Total funding to date sits around $78M when you include an earlier seed round. What XDOF actually does The company builds data pipelines, teleoperation tools, and full-stack tooling for collecting and processing the high-quality training data that advanced robotic systems need to learn how to do things in the physical world. Founded in October 2024 by Philipp Wu (CEO), Yide (Fred) Shentu, and Nemo Jin, XDOF structures its offerings around what it calls a “data pyramid.” XDOF currently employs around 60 people and counts approximately 20 customers, mostly frontier AI labs and robotics firms.
