The White House is raising pressure on Senate Democrats ahead of a Sept. 15 vote on the CLARITY Act, arguing that lawmakers have already had enough time to reach a deal on crypto market structure.On Aug. 8, Patrick Witt, executive director of the Presidential Council of Advisors for Digital Assets, accused Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and other Democrats of blocking the procedural vote on the bill before the August recess while seeking more time for negotiations.Witt said Congress has spent years working on crypto market structure legislation and that the Senate has been negotiating the CLARITY Act since last summer.He said:“If they can’t get there by September 15, they never will.”Republican Sen.
