Divine Mukasa is heading back to east London. West Ham has agreed to take the 18-year-old attacking midfielder on loan from Manchester City, a move that brings the teenager full circle to the club where his football journey began. The deal does not include a buy option. City signed Mukasa to a contract extension just months ago, in June 2026, locking him down until 2030. From Stratford to the Etihad and back again Born in London on August 22, 2007, Mukasa came through West Ham’s academy and helped the Hammers win the FA Youth Cup during the 2022/23 season. Manchester City came calling in the summer of 2023. Mukasa won the FA Youth Cup again in his first season at City, this time with the 2023/24 squad. Mukasa made his Premier League debut in late 2025. City then sent him on loan to Leicester City in February 2026. Across 15 appearances in the Championship, Mukasa scored twice. Why this loan makes sense for everyone His estimated market value sits at around €5 million as of May 2026. The deal includes no buy option. Disclosure: This article was edited by Editorial Team.
