Virtuals Protocol just added another layer to its expanding ecosystem. Overcall, a skill-based market platform, has gone live on Robinhood Chain with a native token called $OVER, minted through the Virtuals launchpad with a fixed supply of 1 billion tokens. The pitch: a decentralized, non-custodial market where users trade on price movements and outcomes, settled entirely onchain through oracle infrastructure. What Overcall actually does Overcall’s first product is what the team calls a “channels-style skill-based market.” In practice, this means users can take positions on price outcomes, with settlement handled automatically through Chainlink Data Streams rather than any centralized intermediary. The platform uses a shared onchain vault for settlement, meaning funds aren’t sitting in anyone’s custody while trades resolve.
