Venezuela’s oil exports have experienced a notable decline, primarily due to a decrease in demand from India. This development follows the recent pause in conflict involving Iran, which has allowed Middle Eastern oil to flow more freely, reducing India’s reliance on Venezuelan imports. According to Bloomberg Markets, Venezuela’s oil exports fell to approximately 1.16 million barrels per day in July, down from 1.2 million barrels per day in June. Specifically, shipments to India dropped significantly from 277,000 barrels per day to roughly 178,000 barrels per day, while exports to the U.S. increased to 786,000 barrels per day, the highest since early 2019. These shifts in oil flow patterns appear to influence market expectations for crude oil prices. The market pricing for scenarios where crude oil reaches a new all-time high by September 30 has decreased, currently standing at 3.7% for a YES outcome.
