VCT Pacific Last Chance Qualifier set for July 7-10 with four teams battling for Stage 2 berth

Riot Games has locked in July 7-10 for the VALORANT Challengers 2026 Pacific Last Chance Qualifier, giving four teams one final shot at punching their ticket to the VCT Pacific Stage 2 Play-In.

The offline event serves as the last gateway before Stage 2’s main roadshow, which runs from July 16 through September 6.

How the qualifier fits into the VCT Pacific calendar

The VALORANT Champions Tour operates on a structured two-stage system for 2026, with the Pacific region covering teams across Southeast Asia, Korea, Japan, and Oceania. Stage 1 wrapped earlier in the year, and Stage 2 represents the second and final major competitive window before the season’s culminating events.

Teams that performed well enough during Stage 1 and the preceding Challengers circuit earned direct qualification into the Stage 2 Play-In. The Last Chance Qualifier exists for the teams that came close but didn’t quite get there.

That tight turnaround matters. Whatever team emerges from the LCQ will have minimal time to reset before jumping into Stage 2 competition, which runs nearly two full months through September 6.

Historical context and what to expect

This isn’t the first time Riot has used a Last Chance Qualifier format in the Pacific region. The 2023 Pacific Last Chance Qualifier was held in Seoul, South Korea, and followed a similar structure designed to give bubble teams one more opportunity to advance.

Riot has not yet disclosed which four teams will compete in the July qualifier, nor has a prize pool been announced. The participating squads will likely be determined by final standings in the Challengers circuit leading up to the event, with the bottom-ranked teams from the qualification window filling the four slots.
