US ETF market faces major deleveraging signals as crypto funds bleed billions

The US ETF landscape is sending mixed signals. Claims of a $100 billion decline in notional value across the top 200 US ETFs have circulated on social media, but no credible evidence validates this assertion. What is documented, however, is that certain corners of the market are genuinely under pressure. US spot Bitcoin ETFs turned net negative for 2026 overall, with June delivering $4.5 billion in outflows, the largest single-month exodus on record.
