Trust Wallet adds support for Tron via WalletConnect, opening 600 wallets to the stablecoin juggernaut

For a network that moves more than $21 billion in stablecoins every single day, Tron has had a surprisingly awkward relationship with the broader wallet ecosystem. WalletConnect, the open protocol that lets mobile wallets talk to decentralized applications, has been around since 2018. It only added Tron support in January 2026. Trust Wallet, the self-custodial wallet serving over 210 million users, now lets its users connect directly to Tron dApps through WalletConnect. In practical terms, that means TRC-20 token transfers, stablecoin swaps, and DeFi interactions without leaving the wallet you already use. No new downloads, no bridging headaches, no additional development required from app teams. What the integration actually unlocks WalletConnect’s Tron support doesn’t just benefit Trust Wallet. The protocol connects over 600 wallets and roughly 70,000 dApps, creating a massive surface area for Tron’s ecosystem to tap into.
