The White House is bringing a large group of US business leaders to China alongside President Donald Trump for meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Bloomberg reported Monday, citing a White House official.
The delegation is expected to feature executives from leading technology, finance, semiconductor, aerospace, and industrial companies as the administration seeks to advance commercial discussions and investment agreements with Beijing.
Executives said to be participating include Elon Musk, Tim Cook, David Solomon, Larry Fink, and representatives from companies such as Qualcomm, Cisco Systems, Micron Technology, and General Electric.
This is the first state visit by a US president to China since Trump’s own trip in November 2017, when he and Xi announced $250 billion in business agreements.
