Fernando Ampuero’s *Última Parada* is a 546-page anthology published by Tusquets Perú on June 2, 2026. The collection compiles selected short stories from across his career spanning over five decades.
Ampuero, born in Lima in 1949, was 77 years old at the time of publication. He won the FIL Lima Literature Prize in 2018.
The anthology includes stories from his debut collection *Paren el mundo que acá me bajo*, released in 1972, as well as references to works such as “Malos modales.” Critics have described Ampuero as a “clásico vivo de la literatura peruana.” Ampuero has noted his profound connection to “la realidad peruana” as a shaping influence on his literary voice.
