Telegram has begun rolling out Gram Wallet to a select group of users, with the non-custodial wallet set to reach its billion-plus user base over the next few weeks, Telegram CEO Pavel Durov announced Monday..
Durov said validators have approved the smart contract powering the wallet, meaning future upgrades will not require users to migrate to new wallet contracts. The company highlighted the feature as one of several changes aimed at making non-custodial wallets more user-friendly.
Access will be expanded gradually over the next several weeks.
