Team Vitality eliminates FUT, reaches Masters London top four

1 hour ago 2

Team Vitality knocked out FUT Esports 2-1 at VALORANT Masters London 2026, punching their ticket to the tournament’s final four. The result means the top four teams at the $1 million event now represent four different regions: Americas, EMEA, Pacific, and China.

How Vitality got here

The June 8 elimination match was a three-map slugfest. Vitality took Pearl 13-11, dropped Haven 4-13, then closed out Fracture 13-10 to send FUT packing.

After dispatching FUT, Vitality kept rolling. They followed up with a cleaner 2-0 victory over Team Heretics, which secured their spot among the tournament’s last four standing.

This marks Vitality’s first Masters appearance since Bangkok. They qualified through EMEA Stage 1 after reportedly enduring an eight-match losing streak against FNATIC.

The twelve-team Masters London field draws from the Americas, EMEA, Pacific, and China. FUT Esports was the first Turkish team to qualify for the tournament.

The crypto angle: fan tokens and Coinbase’s bet on esports

Vitality operates a fan token, VIT, available on the Chiliz/Socios platform. Fan tokens give holders voting rights on minor team decisions and access to exclusive content.

Coinbase is listed as an official partner of the VALORANT Masters, alongside AWS and Mastercard. The broader esports sponsorship landscape has seen declining crypto sponsorship presence at events like IEM Cologne.

What this means for investors watching esports and crypto

The VIT token sits within the Chiliz ecosystem, which has positioned itself as infrastructure for sports and esports fan tokens, partnering with organizations across football, Formula 1, and competitive gaming.

Fan tokens remain a niche within a niche. Their trading volumes are thin compared to major crypto assets, and a team’s tournament elimination can send token prices sliding just as quickly as a win can boost them.

Masters London runs through June 21, 2026.
