TL;DR Soluna and Bitdeer have expanded their Project Kati 1 agreement by approximately 7 MW. Bitdeer’s total deployment at the wind-powered Texas site will rise to 35 MW and about 2.42 EH/s. The additional capacity is expected to be deployed by November and fully books the K1BC phase of the project. Soluna and Bitdeer are expanding a Bitcoin mining partnership before the original deployment has even finished. Soluna announced on September 28 that Bitdeer will add approximately 7 MW of mining equipment at Project Kati 1 in South Texas. The amendment increases Bitdeer’s total planned deployment at the site to 35 MW. Bitdeer Will Bring The Hardware Under the agreement, Bitdeer supplies and owns the mining equipment. Soluna provides the data-center site, power and operating infrastructure. The two companies then share the mining proceeds generated by the deployment. The additional 7 MW is expected to raise Bitdeer’s total hash rate at Kati 1 to approximately 2.42 EH/s. Bitdeer is using Sealminer A2 Pro Air machines for the project.
