Slack launches collaborative vibe coding channels with AI agents

Slack just turned its group chat into something that looks a lot more like a software development studio. The platform is rolling out dedicated coding channels where teams can tag AI agents, assign them tasks, and watch code get written in real time, all without leaving the app where they were already arguing about lunch plans. The feature, called Slack Code, lets users spin up project-specific channels by tagging agents like Anthropic’s Claude or Cognition’s Devin.
