Siemens Energy posts record industrial profit as AI data center demand supercharges gas turbine orders

Siemens Energy just posted the kind of quarter that makes CFOs sleep well at night. The company reported Q3 2026 profit before special items of €1.62 billion, more than tripling from the same period a year ago and handily beating analyst expectations of €1.38 billion. The engine behind those numbers? An insatiable appetite for power infrastructure driven largely by AI data centers and Middle Eastern energy projects. Sales climbed 18.5% year-over-year to €11.45 billion, and the company now expects to hit the upper end of its full-year margin target of 10-12%. AI’s growing power bill is Siemens Energy’s gain Siemens Energy CEO Christian Bruch pointed to data center operators and Middle Eastern clients as the core demand drivers.
