Salesforce launches Hyperagent in Slack for autonomous AI deployment

Salesforce is rolling out Hyperagent capabilities inside Slack, enabling teams to deploy autonomous AI agents that can source leads, generate reports, update CRM records, and execute multi-step workflows without leaving the chat interface. The move represents the most aggressive integration yet between Salesforce’s Agentforce AI platform and the workplace messaging tool it acquired for $27.7 billion back in 2021. From chatbot to command center The core of this launch is a redesigned Slackbot that has been rebuilt from the ground up as a functional AI agent. The new one can pull prospect lists, run complex Salesforce reports, and update records across your CRM, all triggered by natural language commands in a Slack channel. Agents built in Salesforce’s Agent Builder tool can be deployed directly into Slack workspaces, where they inherit permissions from both platforms. The upgraded Slackbot became generally available to Business+ and Enterprise+ customers starting in January 2026.
