Robinhood is bringing crypto trading to its UK app, powered by the infrastructure it picked up when it bought Bitstamp for $200 million last year. The move makes Robinhood’s UK platform a one-stop shop for stocks, ISAs, options, futures, and now digital assets. From acquisition to activation Robinhood closed its Bitstamp acquisition on June 2, 2025, gaining more than 50 active licenses and registrations across multiple jurisdictions. The UK piece of this puzzle clicked into place on July 31, 2026, when Robinhood UK Ltd secured registration with the Financial Conduct Authority as a cryptoasset firm. That registration confirms the company meets the FCA’s anti-money laundering standards, a prerequisite for offering crypto services to British customers.
