Polymarket, the crypto-native prediction market platform, is looking to raise fresh capital at a valuation exceeding $20 billion. For a company that launched in 2020 as a niche experiment in decentralized forecasting, that number puts it in the same conversation as some of the most valuable private fintech companies on the planet. The fundraising picture The $20 billion-plus target represents a significant leap from Polymarket’s recent funding history. The company closed a $2 billion Series D round in October 2025 at a $9 billion valuation. The platform’s implied worth has more than doubled in less than a year. That Series D was followed by a $600 million investment from the Intercontinental Exchange, the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange, announced in March 2026. More recent discussions have reportedly centered on a $400 million raise at a $15 billion valuation, potentially as part of a broader plan to secure up to $1 billion from additional strategic investors.
