Plume joins DTCC digital assets working group as tokenization push gains momentum

Plume Network, a modular EVM-compatible blockchain built specifically for tokenizing real-world assets, has joined the DTCC’s Digital Assets Solutions Industry Working Group. The group exists to advance digital asset adoption and improve interoperability between blockchain-based systems and traditional settlement infrastructure. Plume registered as a transfer agent with the SEC on October 6, 2025, meaning it is already authorized to manage onchain shareholder records and handle compliance functions that would otherwise require a bank or brokerage intermediary. Plume can legally sit between a company and its shareholders, recording ownership on a blockchain rather than in a spreadsheet somewhere. What the DTCC working group actually is The Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation settles the overwhelming majority of US securities transactions. DTCC launched its dedicated Digital Assets Solutions business line around March 31, 2026. The working group it formed started with over 50 firms in May 2026 and had grown to more than 100 members by July 2026.
