PSG and Ajax have shaken hands, at least verbally, on a deal that will send Mika Godts to Paris for approximately €55 million. The Belgian left winger, still just 21 years old, has already agreed to personal terms on a contract running through 2031. That price tag could climb to somewhere between €55 million and €58 million depending on performance-related add-ons. How the deal came together This wasn’t a quick courtship. PSG’s initial approaches landed in the €40-45 million range, and Ajax’s technical director Jordi Cruijff wasn’t interested. Cruijff had his sights set on a valuation closer to €60-65 million. The two sides spent several weeks narrowing that gap. The verbal agreement, reached around August 14, 2026, represents a compromise that both clubs can live with. Godts’s agent, Niels De Jonck, has indicated that medical formalities are scheduled for August 15-16, 2026.
