OpenZeppelin and T-REX Network introduce framework for regulated token eligibility

Tokenized securities have a bouncer problem. Everyone wants the asset on-chain, but someone still has to check IDs at the door. OpenZeppelin and the T-REX Network announced a strategic partnership on July 7, 2026, aimed at hardening the infrastructure behind ERC-3643, the token standard also known as T-REX, which is used for regulated tokenized securities. Instead of bolting compliance onto tokens after the fact, eligibility checks, transfer restrictions and identity verification live inside the token standard itself. What the partnership actually covers The collaboration focuses on three things: security, modularity and on-chain identity management. OpenZeppelin, a smart contract security firm, is contributing architecture advice and code reviews. OpenZeppelin’s work has supported over $35 trillion in on-chain transfers. The centerpiece is ONCHAINID v3, the identity layer that sits underneath T-REX tokens. OpenZeppelin is both auditing it and contributing to its development.
