OpenAI launches ChatGPT Space for collaborative AI document creation

OpenAI just made its clearest play yet to replace your team’s productivity stack. ChatGPT Space, unveiled at the company’s DevDay event in San Francisco on September 29, 2026, transforms the chatbot’s existing Library feature into a full collaborative workspace where humans and AI agents co-create documents in real time. The feature is live now for ChatGPT Pro, Business, and Enterprise subscribers on web and desktop, though mobile users are limited to reading and sharing for the time being.
