Ondo partners with BlackRock to develop tokenized Intelligent Portfolios

Wall Street’s largest asset manager and one of crypto’s most ambitious tokenization platforms are building something that didn’t exist three years ago: a portfolio you can trade at 3 a.m., borrow against by noon, and hold entirely on-chain. Ondo Finance and BlackRock are jointly developing tokenized versions of BlackRock’s model portfolios, with a launch date set for September 24, 2026. Seven portfolios in total will go live, organized around three core themes: high-income, diversified growth, and high-growth. Each one is a preset basket of traditional assets, including stocks, bonds, and Bitcoin ETFs, managed on-chain rather than through a conventional brokerage account. How the portfolios actually work When an investor allocates capital to one of these tokenized portfolios, the system automatically purchases the underlying ETF shares. The investor receives a token representing their position, rather than holding the ETFs directly. That token then becomes productive in ways a standard brokerage account is not.
