UBS cut its rating on NXP Semiconductors from Buy to Neutral on August 3, slashing the 12-month price target from $305 to $270. The reason boils down to two converging headwinds: a looming inventory correction in China’s automotive sector and NXP’s relatively thin exposure to the AI infrastructure boom that’s been lifting its analog chip peers.
