Nu Global launches multi-currency digital account for global customers

Nubank just made its biggest bet yet on stablecoins and cross-border finance. The Brazilian fintech giant, formally known as Nu Holdings Ltd., launched Nu Global on September 10, a multi-currency digital account that automatically converts customer deposits into Circle’s USDC and EURC stablecoins while letting users hold and trade Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana directly in the app. What Nu Global actually does The core pitch is straightforward: deposit money, and it gets converted into digital dollars (USDC) or digital euros (EURC). Those balances earn yield, 3.50% APY for USDC and 2.20% APY for EURC, credited daily. Users can then move that money across more than 35 countries with zero transfer fees. The initial focus covers Europe and Latin America, with Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, and the United States as the primary markets. To make spending practical, Nu Global comes with a virtual Mastercard that carries no markup fees.
