Nscale to acquire Anyscale for $1.65B in push to build end-to-end AI cloud platform

Nscale, the UK-based AI cloud platform, announced on July 30 that it will acquire Anyscale, the software startup behind the widely used Ray framework for scaling AI workloads across GPUs. The deal is expected to close in the second half of 2026, pending regulatory approvals. While Nscale didn’t officially disclose the price tag, the acquisition has been valued at roughly $1.65B. For a company that raised $2B in Series C funding just months ago at a $14.6B valuation, this is less of a stretch and more of a logical next step in building a vertically integrated AI stack.
