Microsoft integrates ChatGPT into Word for enhanced drafting and editing

OpenAI has officially embedded ChatGPT into Microsoft Word through a new add-in that launched on September 17, 2026. The tool lets users draft, revise, proofread, summarize, and format documents from an interactive sidebar, all without ever leaving the Word interface.
