Meta targets new revenue stream with Meta Enterprise Platform

Meta Platforms just made its clearest move yet to stop being “just” an advertising company. The social media giant unveiled the Meta Enterprise Platform, a suite of AI tools designed to serve businesses directly, complete with a new C-suite hire and a product lineup that signals serious intent. The platform bundles AI models, agents, APIs, and infrastructure into a package tailored for enterprise customers. What’s actually in the box The product lineup includes the Muse agent, the Meta Business Agent, the Muse API, and Muse Code. Each is designed for a different slice of enterprise operations, from customer service automation to software development workflows. The Meta Business Agent already has meaningful traction. Over 1 million businesses use it weekly across WhatsApp and Instagram, which gives Meta something most enterprise platform newcomers don’t have: a pre-existing install base that doesn’t need to be convinced to open yet another app. To lead the whole effort, Meta poached Chirantan “CJ” Desai from MongoDB, where he served as CEO.
