Meta Platforms just posted its best month in over a decade, and the catalyst wasn’t a metaverse pivot or another Instagram feature. It was an AI agent called Muse. Shares of Meta climbed roughly 36% through September 24, 2026, marking the stock’s strongest monthly performance since July 2013. The stock hit $777.59, pushing Meta’s market capitalization to approximately $1.98 trillion. Muse changes the math The inflection point arrived on September 8, when Meta launched Muse, a personal AI agent that quickly became the number one app on the Apple App Store. On September 21 alone, Meta shares surged 11.34% in a single session. Analysts are projecting that Muse could eventually generate up to $50 billion in annual revenue, with costs that remain manageable relative to that upside. The monetization playbook reportedly includes a freemium model alongside enhanced advertising capabilities.
