Meta Platforms’ Muse app reaches No. 1 in App Store, shares rise 0.6%

Meta’s new AI agent app, Muse, hit the No. 1 spot among free applications on the US App Store by September 18, just ten days after its public debut. The app, which handles multi-step tasks like travel booking and email management on behalf of users, gathered over 83,000 downloads within its first few days of availability. When Meta released the Muse Spark model in April 2026, the existing Meta AI app jumped from No. 57 to No. 5 on the App Store, pulling in 46,000 downloads in a single day. The standalone Muse app launched on September 8, powered by Muse Spark version 1.3, built at Meta’s Superintelligence Labs. It debuted at No. 2 on the iOS charts before overtaking every other free app within about a week and a half. Users can access Muse through a dedicated iOS or Android app, through the web at muse.ai, or directly inside WhatsApp chats. For now, access is limited to the US.
