Mastercard posted second quarter 2026 results that came in above Wall Street expectations on both revenue and earnings per share. Analysts had penciled in EPS of roughly $4.77 on revenue of $9.06 billion for the quarter. Mastercard cleared both marks. Those consensus estimates alone represented projected year-over-year growth of about 11.4% on revenue and 14.9% on EPS. The numbers in context This quarter’s beat follows a Q1 2026 that already surprised to the upside. In that earlier report, Mastercard delivered adjusted EPS of $4.60 against expectations of $4.41. Revenue hit $8.4 billion, reflecting a 12% increase on a currency-neutral basis. CEO Michael Miebach has pointed to “strong growth momentum” heading into 2026.
